(and i'm hungry too)

it's may already.

some good things are happening, like going back to volunteer. and meeting the teachers again, and hanging out with Hoon though she's in msia for a week till friday. it's nice, getting to know new teachers and students, seeing more smiling faces, and patient angels giving their time and efforts to teach and play with them. i always thought there's some calmness there amidst the unpredictability of behaviours. somehow, it's a happy place for me.

reading Joshua Harris' I Kissed Dating Goodbye, a book my mother bought for me but was left to collect dust on my bookshelf. now that there's not very much to do, i decided to give it a chance. am into the 2nd chapter and i must say, it's a slightly challenging book to read(i refrain from using 'interesting', because a lecturer once said that it's the only adjective sgpreans know, and is almost as good as saying nothing), not because of difficult language, but because the ideas put forth are both enlightening and somewhat different from what youngsters nowadays hold as their own. ideas about dating, of course. an interesting topic; somehow everyone's interested in BGR. sometimes parents more than their children (need i elaborate more).

on a different topic, i am proud of myself for not rushing to the hairdressers to get my hair cut really short when i had the sudden urge to. (which happened many times over the years) instead, i calmly contemplated it by looking at past photos post-haircut and weighed the pros and cons like a mature 21-year-old. and i decided to keep my hair long. because it turns into a tuft of hay when short, a fact i keep forgetting, remembering only after the haircut is done.

there.

but i'm still going to cut my hair. because it looks no different from a mop right now when i let it down. ok end of description.

many birthdays coming up!

i haven't watched a movie (in a theatre) in a long, long time. sigh.
